The Payment Device costs £49.99 + VAT and must be supplied by Cabvision. To be compliant with TfL regulations the device must be installed in the passenger compartment of the taxi. You will therefore require a mount as well as a printer to use the Payment Device in London. The additional equipment can be purchased online from companies such as Secure-Retail, the compatible printer is manufactured by Star and is also available online. From September 1st 2020, the processing cost per transaction in Greater London is a flat rate of 1.00% for all major card types including American Express, this rate is guaranteed until 1st April when rate will revert to 1.99% + 10p per transaction. *Please check T&Cs for costs in other regions outside TfL area.
There are no Support Fees to pay and no contract, although you shall need to agree to the CabPay T&C's before downloading the application. CabPay provides drivers full flexibility, with no monthly usage thresholds or Termination Fees.
Driver settlements are made next day, 6 days a week, for all payments processed before midnight. Sunday and Bank Holiday transactions are paid on the next working day.
Cabvision offer support for CabPay transactions. The transaction is supported 24/7 via Cabvision's UK based help-desk. The help-desk only supports processing of the transactions should you experience a technical problem with the Equipment, you will need to seek advice from the supplier.
There are no Support Fees or additional transaction costs. The Driver is responsible for purchasing the hardware which includes the CabPay Payment Device and other Equipment such as printer to be compliant with their licensing authority. The system requires a smart device such as a mobile phone or tablet, which is provided by the Driver.
